The Celestial Worthy of Original Commencement arose before the Great Non-existence, embodying the spontaneous pneuma. His essence is Unfathomable Emptiness and boundless profundity, transcending all limits. Though heaven and earth decay and kalpas meet their end, the form of the Celestial Worthy remains indestructible. Each time the cosmos is reborn, he manifests either atop the Jade Capital or in the Field of Qiongsang, imparting secret teachings to start the kalpa and deliver salvation. The opening of a kalpa has occurred multiple times throughout history. These cosmic openings recur across epochs marked by the reign titles Extended Vigor, Vermilion Brilliance, Draconic Magnificence, and Opening Luminary. The scriptures proclaimed by Celestial Worthy arose spontaneously from the Penuma of Original Unity, self-existent and uncreated, enduring eternally like the Celestial Worthy. When the cosmos remains intact, these scriptures lie concealed; when a kalpa dawns, their words self-reveal. The Celestial Worthy then commands the August Sovereign of Heavenly Perfection to translate these words from celestial language into forms intelligible to beings. The teachings of scriptures then descend hierarchically from Perfected Ones to immortals and finally to humanity. The central idea of these scriptures is to accumulate the cultivation practices focused on benevolence, purity, and clarity; in order to achieve longevity, spiritual transformation, ascending in flight, and ultimately joining the spirit with Dao.
